Rihanna X Factor judge rumors surface after L.A. Reid announced his departure from show

Simon Cowell is rumored to be already searching a new judge for the next season of the X Factor, since the departure of L.A. Reid from the show.

According to The Sun, Cowell wants the Diamond singer to be on the next season’s judge panel.

“Simon is a huge admirer of Rihanna and knows she’s star quality. As well as bringing an aura to the panel thanks to her current standing in music, she is also feisty and will make great TV. Simon loves these sort of characters,” a source told the magazine.

This month, L.A. Reid announced that he is leaving the show in an interview with Access Hollywood.

“I have decided that I will not return to The X Factor next year,” he said.

“I have a company to run that I’ve kind of neglected,” Reid added.
