Shakira said to French President Nicolas Sarkozy: We are all gypsies

Shakira said in an interview with the Spanish edition of GQ magazine, that the policy of expulsion of Gypsies in France is convicted and sent to French President Nicolas Sarkozy this message “All we’re gypsies,” reports the site 20minutos.es .

Colombian singer has released a song, entitled “Gipsy” in which she and Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal have played the roles of two young Gypsies lovers.

In a recent interview for the Spanish edition of GQ magazine, Shakira spoke about her new album, entitled “Sale el sol”, but also about the concerts and tours, and about being involved in charity through her foundation Pies Descalzos .

Referring to the problem of Gypsies expulsion from France, Shakira, whit Lebanese and Italian descent, said: “What is happening to them is likely to happen in the future of our children. We must organize a series of public events through which defend fundamental human rights and denounce all those things that must be condemned. ”
