Taylor Momsen: My acting days are over
The 18-year-old singer told Elle magazine that she’s “quit acting” and plans to focus solely on her singing career.
“I quit Gossip Girl and now tour and am in a band,” she told the site. “That’s pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully, I’ll be able to only do that for the rest of my life.”
Last November it was announced that her character of Jenny was going to be taking an “indefinite hiatus” for what appeared to be creative reasons.
Taylor has been spending time in the studio lately but with no precise purpose.
“So whether it’s a new album or, I don’t know exactly, we just write the songs and record them and everyone else decides what to do with them!”
“[Music] is all I ever wanted to do with my life. I wanted to make records and tour, so it’s very exciting that our first record is coming out and people can actually hear it,” she told Us Weekly in April.
