Entertainment Weekly has named Taylor Swift “Entertainer of the Year”. At 20, she is the youngest artist to receive this title.
Taylor Swift has earned this honor for her many professional accomplishments. In 2010, she has won four Grammy awards including Album of the year for her second album called “Fearless”. She also made her film debut in the comedy “Valentine’s Day” alongside Taylor Lautner, in addition to having impressed critics with her last concert tour.
”Speak Now”, her third album released October25, sold more than 1 million copies in its first week alone.
In an interview for Entertainment Weekly, Taylor Swift put the record straight about rumors questioning which exes Swift might be singing about on the record.
“Sometimes I would laugh because I would see it in print and it would say, ‘This song, which is written about her ex, so-and-so …’ And they would write about it as if it was fact,” she says. “The fact is, I haven’t ever confirmed that any song is about any particular person. There’s something kind of freeing about that. As far as I’m concerned, it’s all still up in the air.”
Taylor Swift will be performing at the Bell Centre in Montreal next July 14 to present her new show as part of her world tour called The Taylor Swift Speak Now World Tour 2011.
