A possible cause of death has been put forward.

Whitney Houston

According TMZ, no illegal drugs were found in the hotel room where the singer had died, except for some prescription drugs which have led to the theory that Houston could have drowned in the bathtub.

When the emergency team arrived, Whitney’s body was already removed from the tub.

The singer’s body was removed from the hotel room on a gurney, and will be taken to the morgue for an autopsy.

Police sources told TMZ that Beverly Hills policemen found several pill bottles in the room, but there was no evidence that Whitney had been drinking.

The autopsy will determine whether she drowned or died from another cause.
