Whitney Houston has died at 48.
Kristen Foster, her publicist said on Saturday that the singer died, reports The Associate Press. Houston died at the Beverly Hilton hotel today. The cause of death was not yet revealed.
In December 2002, the singer admitted during an ABC interview that she used drugs and alcohol.
Last year, Whitney Houston was hospitalized again in a clinic in the United States, where she received special treatment for drug and alcohol addiction.
Whitney Houston had a tumultuous marriage to Bobby Brown. They divorced in 2007.
The singer leaves behind a daughter, Bobbi Kristina, 18.
Whitney Houston was the only artist ever who released seven consecutive platinum albums.
