Will Taylor Swift play Joni Mitchell in biopic?

Taylor Swift may portray singer Joni Mitchell in the film version of “Girls Like Us.”

The movie, starring Carly Simon and Carole King, is centered around the generation that the veteran Canadian musician belongs to.

The film is an adaptation of the book “Girls Like Us”, written by Sheila Weller, who presents the careers of three legendary artists, Variety announced.

Actress Alison Pill, who recently played the role of Zelda Fitzgerald in the movie “Midnight in Paris” by Woody Allen, also auditioned for the role of Carole King.

The film “Girls Like Us”, whose production is likely to start this year, will be directed by John Sayles.

The film will follow the careers of Joni Mitchell, Carole King and Carly Simon.
