Paul McCartney always travels with a statue of Buddha in his luggage, which helps him to focus and remain calm during his tour.

In recent years, McCartney had a pretty turbulent private life, was forced to go through a divorce, widely publicized by the model Heather Mills, which proved to be ultimately very costly for the singer.

For this reason, Paul McCartney once felt that he needs something to help him remain calm while traveling.

The former Beatles member admits that he keeps this statue of Buddha in the cab behind the scenes and he takes it to every concert that he has.

Paul McCartney who will be 68 years this weekend, is renowned for its original requests addressed to the organizers of shows. Last weekend, attending at the Isle of Wight festival, McCartney’s legendary production team, consisting of 170 people, occupied the whole area behind the scenes. Paul McCartney has insisted, as usual, that all the food to be vegetarian.

After the concert, Sunday, in front of 55,000 fans, McCartney returned by helicopter from his residence in Rye, in the county of East Sussex (UK), to spend some days with his daughter, Beatrice, aged six years.

The British star has a relationship for several years with the American Nancy Shevell, aged 49, heir to a fortune of 400 million dollars.

McCartney formed along with John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr – The Beatles, one of the most famous and successful groups in rock history, having over 1.1 billion albums sold worldwide.
