Carla Bruni and Nicolas Sarkozy are expecting a boy

According to Belgian newspaper Le Soir, publisher Jacques Séguéla revealed that the French First Lady is expecting a boy.

It was at a conference in Malta that Jacques Séguéla, who is close to President Nicolas Sarkoy, made the revelation. According to Séguéla, Sarkozy and Carla Bruni wanted a child for a very long time and the news that they were going to be parents again took them by surprise.

It was the French president’s father who confirmed the pregnancy at the beginning of this week. He also said that his son and daughter-in-law don’t want to know the sex of the child.

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy is already the mother of a son, Aurélien, 9, born from her relationship with philosopher Raphaël Enthoven. French President Nicolas Sarkozy has three sons: Pierre and Jean, from his first marriage to Marie-Dominique Culioli, and Louis with Cécilia Sarkozy.

Séguéla’s statement has yet to be officially confirmed.

Normally, the sex of the baby is unknown until the fourth month and rumors say that Bruni is in her third.

This means we might have to wait a little bit longer to see if it’s a monsieur or a mademoiselle.
