French First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy officially confirmed her pregnancy, saying to the newspaper Nice-Matin that her pregnancy is “unexpected.”

According to French media, Carla Bruni is pregnant in five months, but when asked about gender, the First Lady said: “That, I don’t even know myself. There are certain things which one should keep secret.”

In May, Pal Sarkozy, French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s father, confirmed to the edition of German newspaper Bild that his daughter-in-law, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, is pregnant.

“The two do not want to know the gender in advance, but I’m sure it will be a girl, as beautiful as Carla,” the President’s father, Pal Sarkozy, told Bild.

As well, in May, Jacques Séguéla, who is close to President Nicolas Sarko, revealed that the French First Lady is expecting a boy.

French magazine Voici claims that the French First Lady is pregnant with twins and that she is due in October.
