Engagement confirmed: Prince William and Kate Middleton to wed in 2011
The rumors that swirled around a possible engagement between Prince William and Kate Middleton are finally confirmed.
Although their relationship was on and off, after eight years of romance the two will wed next year.
Since no wedding date has been revealed yet, the event will take place in upcoming months and is expected to be the biggest wedding since William’s mother, Diana, married Prince Charles.
According to a friend source for People, “Everyone is absolutely delighted. He has never had eyes for any other woman since Kate came on the scene. She is going to make a wonderful wife, a wonderful princess.”
Moreover, according to People, the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton took place in October during a Kenya trip.
Prince William also announced The Queen and Kate’s father about the engagement.
The wedding is set to take place in London in the following spring or summer.
