John Edwards rep: there’s no engagement
According to the National Enquirer, John Edwards popped the question to Rielle Hunter, mother of his love child.
However, a spokesperson for John Edwards denies the rumors, telling The Daily Beast, “I can tell you that it’s not true.”
So far, Edwards has neither confirmed nor denied whether he and Hunter are romantically involved.
Edwards’s estranged wife, Elizabeth, died last month after a battle with breast cancer.
In 2006 John admitted he had an affair and that he had fathered a child.
