A few days before Christmas, the Obama family sang with guests stars during the 30th anniversary edition of the concert that benefits the Children’s National Medical Center.

Justin Bieber was fortunate to be among the guests who appeared on stage alongside President Barack Obama.

The pop sensation performed Under the Mistletoe, the title track of his self-titled Christmas album, in front of his two fans: Malia, 13, and Sasha, 10, daughters of the presidential couple.

The evening was hosted by Conan O’Brien who jokingly introduced Bieber, saying, “It’s especially exciting to be here during this joyous season, when we celebrate the arrival of a miracle child, worshiped by millions around the world. Of course I’m talking about Justin Bieber. My 8-year-old daughter loves him. Or at least that’s what I tell people when they ask why I’m carrying a lock of his hair in my pocket.”

Other celebrities joining the Obamas on stage included Jennifer Hudson, Cee Lo Green
Jennifer Hudson and Victoria Justice.

President Obama ended the event with a short speech: “This is the season to celebrate miracles. Every year we celebrate his birth because the story of Jesus Christ changed the world. For me and for millions of Americans, the story has filled our hearts and inspired our lives.”

He continued: “Those are values that are shared by all faiths. So tonight let us all rededicate ourselves to each other, and in that spirit, from my family to yours, happy holidays, Merry Christmas, God bless you all, and God bless the United States of America.”

The concert is scheduled to air this Friday on TNT.
