In order to avoid any unwanted incidents on April 29, a timed program was organized for the highly-awaited event. Here are the basics.

10.10 am: Prince William and his brother Harry leave Clarence House in a Bentley and arrive 5 minutes later at Westminster Abbey.

From 10.20 am to 10.38 am: Members of the Royal Family leave Buckingham Palace or The Goring Hotel in case of the Middleton family and go to Westminster Abbey in small groups.

10.40 am: The Queen leaves Buckingham Palace to go to Westminster.

10.48 am: The bridesmaids leave the Goring Hotel to go to Westminster.

10.51 am: Kate Middleton and her father Michael leave the Goring Hotel for Westminster in a Rolls Royce.

11.00 am: The service starts, broadcast by giant screens and loudspeakers in Hyde Park and Trafalgar Square.

12.15 am: The coach leaves Westminster Abbey.

12.30 am: Arrival of the bride at Buckingham Palace.

12.40 am: Arrival of the Royal Family followed by other guests.

1.25 pm: The Queen and the young couple make an appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

Then, the Queen will host a lunchtime reception with members of the family. 600 guests will be present during the afternoon. In the evening, “only” 300 guests have been invited to an exclusive dinner thrown by Charles, Prince of Wales.

The program also contains Prince William and Kate Middleton’s thanks to the public for the affection and kindness shown them during their engagement.

“We are both so delighted that you are able to join us in celebrating what we hope will be one of the happiest days of our lives,” the couple write in their official wedding program, released Thursday. “The affection shown to us by so many people during our engagement has been incredibly moving, and has touched us both deeply. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone most sincerely for their kindness.”

A new black-and-white photo of the couple by fashion photographer Mario Testino is also featured in the program.
