Royal wedding invitations have hit the mail

About 1,800 invitations were sent on Thursday, announcing the highly anticipated event taking place April 29.

The Daily Mail reports that the invitees will receive a “traditional, gold-embossed handwritten invitation”. Also, there are separate cards for the church ceremony in the Westminster Abbey, and the evening reception hosted at the Buckingham Palace.

While the invitations were sent out, a London charity bash was drawing many of the people in the wedding party, including Prince Harry’s girlfriend Chelsy Davy, Harry and William’s cousins Beatrice and Eugenie, Kate Middleton’s sister Pippa, Holly Branson some of William’s closest friends, Tom van Straubenzee and his brother Charlie.

“They all looked happy and excited at the prospect of the evening and the coming months,” according to PEOPLE.

The Duchess of York was also spotted dropping her 20-year-old daughter Eugenie, saying she was happy to leave the revelry to the younger set.
