She’s not even born but she’s already a queen.
Prince William and Kate Middleton will marry on Friday, April 29, yet everybody is talking about their future children. The latest speculation concerns their daughter, if they are to give birth to a girl first.
At present, in England, it’s the first boy in the royal family who is destined to become king, even if he has a bigger sister.
But the British monarchy could change this rule by taking this right away from men.
So if William and Kate’s first child happens to be a girl, she is destined to become queen after her father.
“If Prince William and Catherine Middleton were to have a baby daughter as their first child, I think most people would think it is perfectly fair and normal that she would eventually become Queen of our country … I think it is worth thinking about,” said Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.
