The young royal couple is about to embark for the United States for 11 days.

Although the entire itinerary of the royal couple is not available until mid-June, a draft of their tour has begun to circulate.

Will and Kate will experience “the diversity, vibrancy of Canada, its geography and people,” a representative at St. James’s Palace says, while sources close to them call the trip a “most significant moment, because it’s their first royal tour.”

The two lovebirds begin their journey on June 30 by flying for a week in Canada, a country that is dear to Kate. A palace source revealed that the grandfather of the princess, who is having her first visit there, had served there in the Second World War. For William this will be an opportunity to “get to know Canada better,” since he had previously visited the country.

On July 8 they head towards Los Angeles. However, it was clearly stated that any interaction with celebrities won’t be taking place. “The couple view this as a working visit, not as an opportunity for them to meet celebrities,” the palace source says.

The fashionistas will be pleased to learn that Kate Middleton will require at least 40 different outfit changes during her stay in the US. However, in order to fend off any criticism about expenses during times of crisis, it is mentioned that the couple planned to “keep their entourage to a minimum.”

In this respect, Judy Wade, a writer and familiar with the many tours held by Windsors, says, “Kate is aware of the recession and cutbacks that people are facing, and will not want to be seen to be extravagant, but she is realizing that you cannot be in the public eye and be a fully-fledged royal without help with a dresser or someone like that.”
