Former American tennis player Andre Agassi was included in the Hall of Fame from Newport (Rhode Island), five years after his retirement.

In his career, American won eight Grand Slam titles, was gold medalist at the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996 and won more than 60 ATP titles. He won the Australian Open four times, the US Open twice and Wimbledon and the French Open once.
He held the number one ranking for 101 weeks between 1995 and 2003.
“I’m truly honored to be recognized alongside the greatest players of tennis,” Agassi said.
“Tennis has given me everything in my life. It has given me my wife. My tennis career afforded me the opportunity to make a difference in other people’s lives.”
Andre Agassi is married to Steffi Graf, who was herself included in the Hall of Fame in 2004.
