Foxconn boss, Terry Gou, has reportedly confirmed that Apple is making preparations for the iTV.
A report in the China Daily states that Terry Gou, CEO of Foxconn, has said that his factories are already making preparations for Apple’s anticipated television set.
Foxconn is Apple’s primary manufacturer of the iPhone, iPad and other iDevices.
The publication wrote that Foxconn’s recent partnership with Japanese electronics giant Sharp was part of the preparations for the television.
The daily writes that the much-anticipated television set will feature an aluminum construction, the voice-activated assistant Siri and FaceTime video calling.
The iTV is also rumored to be similar to the current Apple Cinema Displays in terms of design.
Since production hasn’t started yet, a release date is unknown.
