Apple is working with Japanese display manufacturer Sharp on the much-anticipated iTV.
According to Jefferies analyst Peter Misek, Apple is rumored to be working with Sharp to create the upcoming smart TV.
The site BGR writes that Apple may use Siri, the voice activation function introduced on the recent iPhone 4S release, on any future HDTV.
Furthermore, Misek suggests that iTV might be on sale in mid-2012. Production is rumored to take place at Sharp’s Gen 10 Sakai facility in Osaka.
The analysts also writes that mainstream manufacturers of TV such as Samsung are trying to figure out what Apple’s TV will look like and do.
