A TV SDK is expected to be launched at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco next week.

Apple will be introducing a TV SDK at the upcoming WWDC, according to BGR.

The report also stated that this would allow third-party developers to create Apple TV software.

Back in May BGR reported that Apple is testing a new “control out” API and plans a demo of an upgraded version of the Apple TV operating system at WWDC.

The software would run on the rumored Apple HDTV.

Regarding the Apple TV SDK, 9to5mac writes that it would allow developers to write games and other apps, even despite Apple TV’s limited A5 Single Core CPU.

However, the same site notes that this AppleTV SDK hasn’t been confirmed by any of their sources.
