In July the production of Apple’s next iMac is expected to begin and the launch would take place around October this year, but the device won’t come with a modified design.

Last month, the New York Times found that Apple plans to launch a new iMac model next year, and now find that the company’s supply chain is preparing to start production for a new model of this product.

A company spokesman confirmed the news to Forbes.

“An Apple spokesman just told me that new models and new designs of the Mac Pro, as well as the iMac desktop, are in the works and will likely be released in 2013.”

So the next iMac is rumored to have a better hardware and Retina Display, but the design would remain unchanged until next year, at least.

These are the rumors so far, we will see if they will be confirmed.
