If the latest rumors are true, Facebook users will soon be able to enjoy their file sharing system with functionality similar to the famous Dropbox and Google Drive services.

According to Mashable, Facebook will offer the possibility to all Groups to send files.

The new function is expected to be integrated into the Group Pages section, the homepage of the user’s Facebook profile.

The system for file sharing is not without limitations. The maximum size of an uploaded file cannot be larger than 25 MB

Also, loading executable and audio files will be blocked.

But most types of text documents and file archives are allowed.

It should be said that file sharing facilities are already available for certain categories of users.

For example in education, where users have email accounts ending in .edu, they can exchange messages and files that are loaded on a shared page.
