During his interview at D10, Tim Cook spoke about the company’s plans for a closer collaboration with Facebook.

According to a new report from TechCrunch, “the latest version of iOS” will feature the long-awaited Facebook integration.

However, the article doesn’t detail how this feature will be included.

Hints of Facebook integration were included in the beta version of iOS 4 but Apple gave up on the feature shortly before the launch of the operating system.

These hints can be seen as proof that Cupertino is looking to include Facebook features in the upcoming iOS.

In addition, the 9to5Mac claims to have heard that the iTunes will have Facebook integration as well.

According to a report in The New York Times, Facebook is reportedly hiring Apple iPhone hardware and software engineers for its own phone, leading to speculation that a collaboration is very likely between the two companies.
