What is the next step in the design of digital cameras?

This question has inspired some American designers who have come up with a concept camera-photo to illustrate how these tools will work in the near future.

In view of the Artefact Group, cameras of the future will combine the connectivity and capabilities of today’s existing platforms of next-generation mobile phones with high-quality SLR optics that can be found nowadays in professional cameras.

Thus, future photographers will have the essential quality that they are used to as well as the computational power of mobile products in their camera.
