Less than 48 hours after it went online, the tool that allowed the tethered jailbreak of the iOS 5.0.1 has been removed due to copyright infringement.

A new tool to jailbreak the iPhone, iPad or iPad Touch was released today. It’s called Ac1dsn0w and it allowed a tethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0 and 5.0.1.

Currently available on Mac OS and especially in beta, it promised to improve in the coming week according to PwnDevTeam, creator of the software.

This jailbreak tool featured Tethered Boot, Exit Recovery, Pwned DFU and it could also work on Snow Leopard.

Unfortunately, the software is no longer available to the public due to copyright issues.

Ac1dSn0w contains Apple’s copyrighted code and because of this PwnDevTeam has pulled the download until further notice.

The team promised to address these copyright issues.
