iOS 6 announced at WWDC 2012, Siri brings innovative functions

A function that is very demanded by owners of Apple products, and available on other operating systems, is the one that allows opening an application by simply saying its name.

Just by calling out the words Play Temple Run, the application opens, but everything must be done in English.

Canadian English and French have been added to this new version of Siri.

The voice-controlled personal assistant now offers more info about restaurants, including average prices and other data. Apple has made a partnership with Yelp to add reviews and with OpenTable to make dinner reservations.

Another partnership with Rotten Tomatoes tells users about the movies that are playing, trailers and reviews.

Apple is reportedly collaborating with several car manufacturers to create a button for the steering wheels for a new “eyes-free mode” in which the iPhone doesn’t need to turn its screen on. Vehicles with this feature will reportedly be shipped in the next 12 months.
