Two months after the launch of the iPad Mini, the rumors about the iPad 5 are already circulating.

Citing an anonymous “inside source,” Japanese site Macotakara claims that the next-generation iPad will be presented next March.

This fifth version is characterized by a thinner form factor and less weight. The current 9.7-inch iPad model has a thickness of 9.4 mm against 7.2 for the iPad mini.

Macotakara claims that the new iPad will be nearly as thin as the mini.

The Retina iPad mini was also rumored to be scheduled for a March launch.
