iPad Mini rumors: analyst speculation points to narrower and thinner design

Cult of Mac has posted a report on the latest speculation regarding the mini tablet.

9to5mac reports that the mini tablet will likely “look like a big iPod touch”, because of the narrower bezels.

The thicker bezels placed at the top and bottom of the device will also add to the iPod touch image.

The site also writes that the iPad mini will feature a front-facing camera and 4G LTE connectivity on some models.

iMore writes about the possibility that the mini tablet could be as thin as the iPod touch, which is thinner than the 9.7-inch iPad.

A mockup of the handset shows what the author of the article believes to be the dimension of the iPad Mini as compared to the 9.7-inch iPad and the iPod touch 4.

Finally, John Gruber at Daring Fireball notes that there is some similarity between independent pictures of the rear shell of the device.

Gruber gives arguments in favor of the narrower side bezels, adding that the design of the handset is likely to be somewhere between the full-size iPad and the iPod touch.
