Samsung still holds the crown, with a share of 40% in the third quarter, but it seriously dropped in the previous quarter, capturing 51% of this market.

LG has also seen its share melted from 15% to 9%, despite the launch of its “flagship” Optimus G.

Motorola also suffers from the growth of the iPhone 5, with a share of 7%, against 15% in the second quarter.

Globally, Strategy Analytics estimates that there will be 50 million smartphone users of 4G/LTE by the end of the year, against only 9 million last year at the same time.
