The iPhone 5 is expected to arrive in the fall, and Apple fans have already come up with some interesting ideas of what the company’s next flagship device could look like.
Yesterday we wrote an article about Justin Bieber’s latest video “Boyfriend”, and besides the pop sensation’s moves it seems there is another thing that has caught the eye of Apple watchers.
Starting at second 20, a device looking like the “prototype” of an iPhone appears on the screen.
The handset looks pretty slim, it features an edge-to-edge display and it seems to lack a speaker or a camera.
Recently, various mockups of the future iPhone have surfaced on the net.
French designer Antoine Brieux has created a concept of the smartphone called the iPhone LM aka iPhone Liquidmetal, based on the latest rumors that the device will feature Liquidmetal technology.
An interesting aspect about this concept is that the physical home button has been replaced by an identical but “virtual” one which suggests that the display’s aspect ratio could be increased to 16:9.
Brieux’s concept is also powered by a 4.5-inch screen and a frame that is 116.2 mm long, 59.4 mm wide and 7.9 mm deep, according to Nowhere Else.
Another iPhone 5 concept came from Italian design group ADR Studio who imagined a device that features a 4.3-inch Retina Display that is edge to edge across the device.
The smartphone features 1080p HD video recording and comes with a built-in projector.
The designers incorporated the hottest rumors into this concept, such as a capacitive home button and a considerably reduced dock connector.
Finally, the latest mockup was created by [FUSE]Chicken, a research, design, and engineering studio in Ohio, who envisioned an iPhone 5 with a 4-inch widescreen Multi-Touch display.
The concept features a 10-megapixel iSight camera and a 5-megapixel camera on the front.
The designed iPhone also sports a pair of quad speakers for stereo in landscape and portrait modes, as well as a central headphone jack.
