iPhone 5, iPod Touch 5 rapid scrolling issue

Reports of problems with these two devices’ in-cell displays have appeared.

Mobile site Recombu picked up a tweet by UK games developer CMA Megacorp.

The issue appears when a user rapidly swipes his finger across the screen, diagonally, as this sometimes causes the touch screen to drop out or even freeze.

iPhone 5 models running either iOS 6.0 or 6.0.1 seem to have this problem.

While it isn’t something that would affect using the smartphone on a daily basis, it may pose problems to app developers who are designing fast-swipe games.

Recombu made a comparison between two iPhone 4S’s and two iPhone 5′s, each running iOS 6 and iOS 6.0.1 to see how the issue affected the devices.
