This is not a rumor! Microsoft’s search engine has revealed the traditional year-end ranking of the most popular searches.
This classification is based on the mixing of billions of search queries, but it is relevant to the US.
Bing’s Top 2012 is organized into several categories, ranging from news and people to a technology section.
In the news section, the iPhone 5 tops the list, followed by the 2012 elections and the 2012 Olympics.
The iPad 3, iPod touch, iPhone 4S occupy five places in the Top 10 while Samsung takes the third place with the Galaxy S3.
In this same category, other popular requests focused on Kindle, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft with Xbox and the Windows 8 operating system.
The most searched social network was Facebook. Twitter came second, followed by MySpace, LinkedIn and Tumblr.
The most sought after celebrity in 2012 was Kim Kardashian who has dethroned Justin Bieber.
But the Canadian singer still managed to steal the first place in the category of musicians, followed by Whitney Houston who died in February.
