iPhone 5 micro-USB adapter for Lightning available for free in China

In China, Apple is offering users accessories for free.

In this Asian country, the iPhone 5 devices sold to users include a free micro-USB adapter for Lightning.

This will allow owners to charge their devices and sync them using both the Lightning cable included in the package, as well as any micro USB cable.

The adapter costs US$24.

The new Lightning dock connector is smaller the previous 30-pin connector and it can be plugged in either orientation.

The iPhone 5 will hit stores in China on Friday, Dec. 14.
