Digitimes reported that release rumors surrounding the iPhone 5S and the iPad 5 point to mid-2013.

Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray speculated that Apple is preparing the launch of three major products next year, including the iPhone 5S.

As for the new iPhone 5, the same analyst wrote that Apple seems to be catching up with demand.

In addition, it seems ship times for the handset have dropped to two weeks.

Refurbished iPhone 5 models are available at AT&T for just $99 on a two-year contract.

The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board has announced its plans to switch to the iPhone 5 instead of BlackBerry due to “performance issues.”

A couple of commercials, titled “Orchestra” and “Turkey,” about the new iPhone were posted by Apple on Tuesday.
