A test performed by CNET’s Scott Stein found that there are differences in call quality when using the iPhone 5 on the major three carriers.

Three calls were made to compare voicemail recordings with the three iPhone 5 carrier models.

The differences between the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 are shown by the recordings.

AppleInsider notes that the iPhone 4S and AT&T’s iPhone 5 are similar in terms of background noise.

Verizon’s iPhone 5 sounded clearer and the background noise was reduced as compared to the AT&T version.

Thanks to the voice richness and clarity, Sprint’s iPhone 5 was the winner, with almost no background noise, pops or hiss.

It is important to note that the test is an individual case and shouldn’t be taken as official results.
