Apple customers are getting their new iPhone quicker than they expected.
According to MacRumors, pre-ordered iPhones that were initially scheduled to be shipped in early October have now been set a delivery date of September 27th.
The new iPhones reportedly sold out within the first hour of sales and 2 million devices were ordered in the first 24 hours.
The same site notes that analysts have praised Apple’s response to the huge number of orders.
“We are positively surprised regarding the pace of the rollout, since we had expected a bigger impact from component constraints,” Barclays analyst Ben Reitzes said.
iPhone 5 sales numbers are expected to be announced on Monday.
