Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini at an event September 12, with a product release set for nine days later.
According to an iMore report, who cites “sources who have proven accurate in the past,” Cupertino “is planning to debut the new iPhone at a special event on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, with the release date to follow 9 days later on Friday, September 21.”
The two devices will reportedly be accompanied by the new iPod nano.
So far rumors have also pointed to an October launch for the iPhone 5.
The iPad mini is rumored to feature a screen measuring 7 inches to 8 inches diagonally and analysts believe it’s unlikely it will have Retina Display like the new iPad.
As for the iPhone 5, the handset is expected to be thinner and come with a larger in-cell screen. It is also rumored to feature NFC technology and a smaller dock connector.
Photos of what is allegedly an assembled version of the iPhone 5 based on recent leaks have surfaced online.
