Gotta Be Mobile has posted a video presenting a short recap of all the rumors on the upcoming iPhone 5.
The most important iPhone 5 rumor analyzed in the video is the one regarding the release date.
Cupertino is expected to introduce the device at an event scheduled to be held on September 12.
An iMore report states that the handset will hit stores 9 days later on Friday September 21, with the release date in international markets set for October 5.
In addition, AT&T has reportedly told employees not to request vacation time at the end of August as they have rescheduled training ahead of a “huge event”.
Gotta Be Mobile also writes that iPhone 5 preorders are likely to start on September 12 and suggests that AT&T, Verizon and Sprint, as well as Apple Stores, will offer the smartphone on the same day.
As for the specs, the site details 5 major features of the upcoming iPhone.
The iPhone 5 is expected to offer 4G LTE connectivity on Verizon, Sprint and AT&T, as well as on smaller carriers.
An A5X dual core processor will likely power the device and analysts believe it will be a variant of the new iPad’s processor.
Gotta Be Mobile points to a smaller 8 or 9-pin dock connector for the next iPhone, adding that the iPad and iPod Touch could also switch to the new port in the fall.
A larger 4-inch display could boost the viewing area with an additional 17% and a 16:9 aspect ratio would make it similar to a HDTV when watching movies in landscape mode.
The iPhone 5 may come with a two-tone back and be 6 mm to 8 mm taller and thinner.
