Apple’s next-gen iPhone is reportedly in preparations for a fall release.
According to a report from South Korea’s Maeil Business Newspaper, Cupertino is planning on launching the iPhone 5 in October.
The news comes from the head of human resources at Foxconn’s Taiyuan factory, according to Kotaku, which translated the original article.
“We just got the order,” the Foxconn human resources head apparently told the publication. “[The release] will be around October.”
The Korean newspaper noted that Foxconn’s Taiyuan factory has been busy placing hiring notices throughout the city lately.
A Maeil Business Newspaper reporter spoke to the H&R head at the Taiyuan factory.
“Yes, it’s true we are hiring a large number of workers,” the employee told the publication.
When asked about the launch of the next iPhone, the human resources head said the release date would be “around October.”
Last week we reported that a Foxconn recruiter in Taiyuan, China, revealed that the iPhone 5 will be marketed in the month of June.
However, this should be taken with a grain of salt as in general company employees find out about the upcoming release of a product just a little ahead of the event, so chances that they could give a hint into when the next iPhone will arrive are small.
