Apple is reportedly looking to develop its presence in Germany.
According to MacRumors, Cupertino has been targeting a store at a mall in Sindelfingen, a town outside of Stuttgart.
The site writes that iFun.de reported in August that Saturday, September 22, was set as the store’s grand opening.
Now sources told MacRumors that the opening date for the store was brought earlier and set for Thursday, September 20, fueling rumors of an iPhone 5 launch on the following day.
The site writes that this could mean the company has another retail store open prepared for the launch.
Things took place in a similar manner in the case of the New iPad as the grand opening of the Highland Village retail store in Houston was brought earlier by a day, leading to speculation, which was eventually confirmed, that it would match the March 16 iPad launch.
The site also notes that Germany is usually among Apple’s first-round launches, even though the iPad 2 was first released in the US and then in other countries.
