Another week has passed but not without the hype surrounding the highly-anticipated iPhone 5.

At the start of the week, rumors of an AT&T vacation blackout ahead of the iPhone 5 launch were denied by the company.

The rumored date when Apple is likely to unveil the handset was leaked by T-Mobile as photos from its internal news system notified employees of new training programs focused on “selling against the iPhone” starting Sept. 21.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple’s production of the displays for its next smartphone is behind schedule due to low production yields.

Also, an update to AirPlay called “AirPlay Direct” is rumored to be introduced at the iPhone 5 release date event next month.

The Telegraph wrote that users could stream music without the need of a WiFi network with the help of the new upgrade.

In addition, reports indicate that Apple is preparing for the release of 8 new products ahead of the holiday season, with analyst Ming-Chi Kuo publishing what he believes will be Cupertino’s launch schedule for Q4 of 2012.

Adding to the speculation on the rumored release date was a CNET report suggesting that the September 12 launch could be false since Moscone Center, which is the location used by Apple for many major launch events, is booked that same day for a microbiology conference.

Various sites have claimed that Apple plans to introduce a smaller dock connector for its iOS devices.

An iLounge report indicated that Apple hasn’t given third-party manufacturers the required engineering details needed for the production of docking accessories for the new handset.

In terms of specs, a thorough analysis of the recent leaks was made by technology blog Anandtech who conceded that the device is “unlikely” to feature NFC technology.

The site concluded that the “mystery chip” from earlier photos could be related to a touch and display controller for the device’s in-cell display panel.

Analyst Thomas Seitz of Jeffries & Co. estimated that the device’s LTE capabilities may lure users away from AT&T and bring them to Verizon.

As usual, numerous photos of leaked iPhone 5 components continued to be posted by various tech sites.

The photos spotted on a Photobucket account (via Apple.pro) showed the assembled front panel of the device with an attached home screen button.

iResQ posted images of the assembled internal structure of the device, while French blog Nowhereelse.fr came up with images and a video of the future iPhone’s front assembly.

A leaked photo of the device’s logic board suggesting that the next iPhone could feature an A6 processor was tweeted by Sonny Dickson and Vietnamese site tinhte.vn published photos and videos of earphones that are rumored to come with the device next month.

Photos of accessories for the new dock connector were leaked to iLounge by an “anonymous tipster” and presented accessories made by third-party accessory maker Scosche.

French website Nowhereelse.fr posted photos of side-by-side comparisons between the rumored iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS.

In addition, RepairLabs posted pictures showing a set of metal brackets, rumored to be for the future handset, which appear to be similar to the design of the iPhone 3GS.

MacRumors posted a video showing what the larger 4-inch display would look like in action and a clip spotted by GSM Israel at the IFA 2012 presented a mockup of the device that is in accordance with the latest leaked parts.

Nowhereelse.fr came up with an infographic of the major changes that are rumored to be featured in the future iPhone and the probability that they will be included in the device.
