It looks like Apple’s next flagship device will follow the pattern of the latest iPad.

Dutch blog iphonenieuwsblog.nl has published an image of what appears to be the printing for iPhone 5 packaging.

The picture shows the wording “The New iPhone” written on the packaging, TechCrunch reports.

Beneath the wording there is an image of the device with five rows of icons, confirming rumors of a larger 4-inch display.

A similar situation was when the iPad 3 was launched as it was called “the new iPad.”

Although the invites to the live keynote where the handset is expected to be unveiled show the number 5 in shadow, Apple may drop the version number and simply call the device “the new iPhone.”

Apple will hold a media event on September 12, where it is expected to launch the iPhone 5.
