Apple is reportedly preparing to launch the new iPhone in India on October 26.
Citing “multiple sources,” BGR India reports that October 26 is set as launch date for the iPhone 5 in India.
The device will be distributed by Apple directly for the first time, rather than through the company’s carrier partners.
The site writes that the price for the new handset should be close to the launch price of the iPhone 4S which recently saw a price drop.
The number of available iPhone 5 units is yet uncertain as supply constraints are experienced globally.
Last month Apple announced plans to roll out the device to more than 100 countries by the end of the year.
