No doubt, with the release of the iPhone 5, we will see the launch of a new iOS (iOS 6), powered by apps such as Siri, obviously optimized and improved.

Various rumors indicate that the new iOS will be launched at the upcoming WWDC to be held in June this year. Important releases of iOS versions are closely related to the launch of a new iPhone model.

So far nobody knows what features the new iOS will bring at the WWDC in June but reports will probably give more details about the new version of the operating system.

Other rumors about future versions of the iOS come from India, where a high school student from the city of Agra has developed a security system that has left Apple engineers impresse, the Verge reports.

Cupertino was so impressed with what that young Indian achieved that they gave him $ 2,000, an iPad tablet and an invitation to WWDC 2012, according to the newspaper that published the story and which claimed that the event would take place on June11. The security system was so good that Apple engineers discovered no flaw in its design.

So far there is no news on the type of security system developed by the teen.

Another rumor comes from Digitimes, which claims that Apple may use new touch panels in the next iPhone. These panels, called in-cell, are thinner than those used in current iPhone models and they would allow the company to reduce the thickness of the device, which is very important for mobile phones.

In-cell technology involves placing the touch sensors directly in the screen’s color filters and not above them, in the way panels are built today.

The difference in size of the touch screen can be extremely big but combined with other changes to the internal structural it could lead to a decrease of 1/2 mm in the thickness of the iPhone.

Do you think Apple will implement in-cell technology?

The iPhone 4S stood out from the beginning thanks to its top performance in the processing and graphics areas, so the future iPhone is expected to offer a better configuration than the existing one, possibly a quad-core version.

9to5mac claims that Apple is already testing prototypes of the new device and that it would come with 1GB of RAM, just like the iPad 3.

The devices are said to have the new hardware included in cases of the iPhone 4/4S and they use a similar version of the A5X chip and this is the explanation for the existence of 1 GB of RAM. The A5X chip was built specifically for t iPad 3 because it has a quad-core graphics chip.

So the iPhone 5 will be powered by the same processor or a new one but with more RAM.

The doubling of the RAM was a logical move since it is present in the iPad 3 and Apple usually implements the new hardware in the iPhone too.

There is also the possibility that the processor of the new device will be the A5X, given that that Apple reuses iPad processors in iPhones and a quad-core processor is likely to appear in n devices coming next year.

However, Apple’s strategy doesn’t focus on the amount and analysts don’t expect an impressive RAM memory and a quad bigger than 1.4 GHz, but an optimal combination.

Will Apple call the new iPhone processor the A6? Or will it use the A5X?

During the conference of the presentation of the latest iPad tablet, Aple used the name The New iPad to describe its new product and generated confusion among the audience in the room.

The iPad wasn’t called the iPad 3 or iPad HD as it was previously speculated, but simply the iPad.

Following the same idea, it is possible that the next iPhone won’t be the iPhone 5 but just that: the new iPhone. However, this would create some confusion as the first iPhone model bears the same name.

Do you think Apple will return to the original name?

Another name would be the iPhone 5, the same one that was expected to belong to the 5th generation iPhone, which eventually turned out to be the iPhone 4S.

Or could it be the iPhone 6? The first was named the iPhone (June 2007), the 2nd – the iPhone 3G (July 2008), the 3rd – the iPhone 3Gs (June 2009), the 4th – the iPhone 4 (June 2010) and the 5th – the iPhone 4S (October 2011).

iPhone 4G or iPhone 4 GS have also been speculated based on the 2nd – and 3rd generations iPhone.

We will see. Until then…
