The new iOS 6 beta 4 released last night and the new version of Xcode that is compatible with it finally gives evidence that the rumors could be true.
9to5mac has found evidence in Apple’s iOS Simulator developer app that the iOS 6 screen can be scaled to fit a 640×1136 display with 5 rows of icons.
The site reports, “Thanks to some tweaks to the iOS Simulator application that is included in the iOS development tools, we were able to run the simulator at the rumored next-generation iPhone display resolution of 640×1136.”
This is the only resolution for which the simulator displays 5 rows of icons on the screen of an iPhone.
This change introduced by Apple in Xcode shows that iPhones with a 1136 x 640 resolution have been tested and if the device will have this resolution, it will look exactly like the pictures show.
