iPhone 5 rumors: is Apple teasing us with iPhone 5 image?

Rumors of a bigger iPhone 5 display are fueled by an image that appeared during the WWDC 2012.

According to iDownloadBlog, when Scott Forstall presented Eyes Free, a taller iPhone appeared at the minute 79.04 in an image that was part of the keynote presentation.

The device is mounted on the center console and, according to various analyses, it seems to sport a wider display.

This comes in line with the latest rumors suggesting that Apple’s next flagship device will feature a 4-inch screen, a departure from the current 3.5-inch display of the iPhone 4S.

CNET went further and flipped the image on its side to examine the device’s aspect ratio.

The conclusion was that the screen of the pictured handset matched the rumored 16:9 aspect ratio.

Apple’s move to a 4-inch screen for the next iPhone is seen as an effort to respond to the increasing screen size of Android smartphones displays currently on the market.
