Alleged photos of a new smaller port for the next iPhone surface today.

Rumors have stated lately that Apple is planning to replace the 30-pin connector with a 19-pin one.

However, according to the leaks posted by NowhereElse.fr, the connector is only 8 pins wide.

The connector portion of the cable is placed next to the USB portion of the cable in order to give a good look at the component’s smaller size.

Apple is expected to come up with adapters for the existing accessories in case the size of the dock connector is reduced.

The iPhone 5 is rumored to be unveiled on September 12.
