New details about the rumored features of the highly anticipated iPhone 5 have begun spreading again.
Business Insider recently reported that one of its sources had access to a prototype of the device, claiming that the iPhone 5 will have a 4 inch screen, an aluminum case in different colors, a 10-megapixel camera, a much slimmer design and a touch-sensitive home button as opposed to a physical press button.
“You could touch it and hold it and physically reboot the device,” the source said about the new home button.
New reports say that the source also talked about the ‘liquid metal’ technology that Apple plans to use in order to make colored iPhones. Liquid Metal is like paint made out of aluminum, full saturated with color, highly resistant to scratching.
In addition, the prototype featured the new Siri voice-operated app – as it is on the iPhone 4S – then called Assistant.
But the latest rumor that has left many dreaming of the new iPhone is the one regarding Apple’s plans to offer the device a curved Gorilla Glass display.
In May, the Cupertino company reportedly purchased 200-300 glass-cutting machines that specialize in curved screens, fueling speculation that the iPhone 5 will feature a curved glass screen.
