KGI analyst Mingchi Kuo believes that Apple will launch an iPhone 5 with a 4.08-inch screen, a 1136 x 640 resolution and 16:9 ratio.
“We expect iPhone 5 to feature a 4.08-inch in-cell IPS panel screen with a display resolution of 1,136 x 640 and 500-nit brightness,” Kuo wrote.
The picture presents the screen that he imagines Apple would likely use for the future iPhone, but also the partners that would produce it.
Kuo also writes that Apple will maintain the 1,400mAh battery, currently found on the iPhone 4S.
The analyst also estimates that the screen could be lengthened without increasing the width and this could save on app redevelopment costs.
The 16:9 ratio would offer more viewing space in portrait mode and films would appear more natural in landscape mode.
Kuo expects Apple to sell 65-70 million iPhones in 2012.
